Blueberries from Peru to the world

About us?

We are the Peruvian Blueberry Growers & Exporter Association. We believe in the power of the blueberry industry, economically, socially, and environmentally. Therefore, we work to achieve a sustainable balance and generate a positive change in our country. We change lives with the Peruvian blueberry.

A small fruit generates
big changes

We are the country that exports the most blueberries in the WORLD

Blueberries are part of the fruit subsector of the Peruvian
agro-export sector, which, in response to growing world demand,
has obtained significant growth in recent years. This growth
would not have been possible without the professionalism
of the agricultural operations of the Peruvian industry, phytosanitary
care and opening and improvement of access to international markets.

Peru has gone from exporting a total of 12,951 metric tons
at the end of the 2015-2016 season, to 162,459 tons in the current
2020-21 season, consolidating for the second consecutive year
as the main exporter of fresh blueberries in the world.

"Committed to take the Peruvian
blueberry to the world"

We believe that more can always be done by working together.
We are a united industry and we are here to prove it!

We change lives with the
Peruvian blueberry

We want to positively impact the lives of those who come across our industry by instilling respect,
appreciation, and development. In our last campaign, blueberry exports have generated approximately
100,000 direct job positions, mostly led by women. We do not only believe in a Peru with more opportunities,
but we also create them.

Our empowering role remains strong to achieve our market diversification goals. The export of blueberries
has become a great generator of currency for the country, exporting close to 1 trillion dollars, in the last campaign.

We analyze growth with a strategic vision to continue being one of the main contributors of the agro-export
sector in the GDP. More growth, more impact.

Life is better with
Peruvian blueberries.

Blueberries are a very healthy food and they contribute a lot to our
health. They contain fiber, which contributes to maintaining a healthy
heart and controlled cholesterol levels, vitamin C to preserve a
healthy immune system, vitamin K for the circulatory system,
as well as manganese which helps convert proteins, carbohydrates,
and fats into energy.

Blueberries are certified as heart healthy by the American Heart
Association (AHA) ® Heart-Check food certification program.
